Helping People with Skillful Practice for Over 30 Years

When I was a boy, I studied for the priesthood and discovered that I did not wish to be part of an organised religion.  I drifted for a while, working in a circus and spent some time struggling with my demons before  joining an alternative community, where I practiced Yang Style Tai Chi Ch'uan, Natural Dance, Contact Improvisation, Raja Yoga, Co-Counselling, and Herbal Medicine.


Since then, I have worked extensively in the Public and Voluntary sectors supporting individuals and groups of people with complex needs drawing upon my training in ACT, CBT, DBT, Open Dialogue and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, trained in ACT, accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and  the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council.


I combine breath and body techniques from India and China with strategies and techniques grounded in the best available scientific evidence and the experience gained supporting vulnerable people to help you move to a more joyful and meaningful life.


Drawing upon my own experiences of being an outsider and living with pain, I focus on what actually works to help cultivate people's skillful practice to free themselves from the tyranny of self-limiting thoughts, overwhelming emotions and self-defeating behaviours that suck the joy from our lives and make us feel small.
